TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE OUR SOCIETY A BETTER PLACE.
Together we can make a difference in our society..
WHO ARE WE?
This is a community based self help group of youths in the area whom have decided to join hands together for the betterment of the our community. We do beleive in joining hands together to see our community developed to the highest level posible and i know we can do it through the effort of team work. We work voluntarily for the main benefit of the entire community where we live in. In order to acheive this we work hand in hand with each and every member of this organization for the mutual benefit of the entire community as a whole. Our group currently consits of twenty members. and its growing so fast within the local population in the area and we do believe that whatever we do wil be of much benefit socialyy and economically to every member of the society.
WHAT WE DO?
We are currently doing some small projects in the area and we hope to do alot of things in the near future to enhence developement in the community at alarge and wr do hope that together we shall succeed to make our community a better place to live in.
We shall keep you updated on the events that we do carry out on regular basis and i know that this will help us to publisize the organization to a further end of the world.
We welcome brief comments and ideas that can be posted on this blog or you may decide to email us kinduyouth@yahoo.com and we will get in touch to you with whatever we are doing.
We also do carry out HIV-Aids awareness campeign to the local population which is seriously hit due to lack of knowledge on how to keep safe from this deadly desease and we do beleive that its due to this ignorence that many are dying of Aids and to curb this pendamic we need to educate the local community on the modes of transmission and how we can prevent it from reaching us. We do conduct reasearch on the deaths/infection rates and the statistics is very worrying so much and therefore to enhece this compeign we do carry out campeinghns on regular basis on HIV-AIDS isues.
Its due to aids that we do have alot of ophans in the area and its increasing at an alarming rate and if nothing is done today we may see a crisis in the futurer not far from today and its a warning sighn that something has to be done immediately before the situation gets out of hand.

We at kindu youth self help group are really determined to helping the ophans in the area under the distance adoption programme we are currently looking for well wishers from all corners of the world to help us see these kids thruogh in thei education and we are appealing to anyone out there who wish to take part in this programme to caontact us via email the programme provides an oportunity to those who are willing to bring happiness to these kids through any asssistance for their upkeep at school here in kenya in reaturn we shall be mailing (snail mail) the progress to these adoptive parents and this will include school report forms every term(every three months of the academic year),plus letters and drawings from these kids who will be more than willing to do so as a form of appriciationn to their sponsors. there is no much involved in this programme and anyone willing to do so can do it with much ease.Just to highlight how the programme will run is that if one is willing to assist these kids in their education then there will be a from to fill in and this will be available online on the website which will be developed and they will be told of what they are supposed to offer for the upkeep of these kids at school.Since here in kenya the gorvenment has really subsidesed the primary schooling then the amount for upkeep will be mainly for buying the kids 1.school uniforms(apair of balck shoes+socks etc.) 2.school bag 3.p.e kit and other things not here but will be available for the sponsors in the website. these collacted all together will be costing approximately $65. PER TERM PER KID. and we do have three terms in Year.
We want to develope a website mainly for this programme and anyone who is willing to assist us in anyway is really welcome.
